It was discovered that 3-4 people did a lot of ballot box stuffing in an attempt to give undue weighting to some of the responses; details
can be found on this post. On July 19th, I was able to largely remove the effects of this. A full discusion of my reasons and methods are detailed here.
As a result, I've had to implement a couple rules for the balloting as this goes forward. For the questions below, each IP is allowed only a single vote per every several days. This does make it a little clumsy for housholds or shared computer systems where multiple people may want to weigh in, but as is often the case, the selfishness and arrogance of a few results in limitations on the rest of us.

Just because my wife and I each voted from the same IP , will we also be acused of "ballot stuffing" ????
If we had a couple of children that also wanted to take part in a voting process , should we just have them vote from a friends house or the library ??

| Ivory, I think there is a little red boat with a Chinese flag waiting for you at Cedarlands. I'm curious even though you already altered the poll how many times your troop members voted over and over for your views. I think it comes down to the fact that you are more stupid than a 3 dollar bill and that you shouldn't have let the same IP vote more than once. So skewing the poll in your favor when anyone was allowed to vote more than once pretty much voids any point to having a poll and voids any pathetic argument you are trying to make against the scouts.

| Actually, not a single comment has been deleted or edited from the survey section of this web site. The only comments redacted from the forum section were done so as a direct result of requests from the poster. If you are having trouble posting in either place, please let me know and I'll do what I can to help. Polite and non-belligerent requests receive priority.

| Plain and Simple, there is no justification! They raped the land - I own a house on Kickerville Lane,. The road that tthe logging trucks ride up and down for over a year or more. They are a nuisance in every direction! They are destroying our road, our enviroment and the Town of Long Lake closes their eyes until someone gets run over by a logging truck or the road becomes hazdours and the tex payers have to forfeitt the bill. The Boy Scouts sold themselves SHAME ON YOU FOR RAPING THE LAND!

To the prior poster (Anon) - Actually, I wouldn't give up hope just yet. As a result of these web pages, we know that at least the Council is reacting by engaging in more newsletters and such. The results of the survey also clearly show that the majority of people were unaware of what the was about to happen, and were largely disappointed and bothered by the results. I hold hope that these facts are sobering to not only this Council, but perhaps to others that might considering doing something similar. Despite whatever spin can be put on it, this logging and the public acceptance of it did not go according to plan.
I think that some are hoping/expecting that our interest in what happened will fade away, and that things can get back to normal soon.

| Think anyone will REALLY pay attention to the survey results? Will it REALLY matter? When I first became in involved, I would have believed "Yes". But now I think I was just being ignorant. Shame on me for trusting.
