Click and read this first -> "Why This Site is Here "

This is the forum/blog part of the Cedarlands News site . While the main pages have parts dedicated to photos , an online survey , and a file archive , this is where most of the real discussions will take shape.

Organization of the Forum…

Posts are articles I put up every couple of days as the need, topic, and opportunity arise. They are arranged chronologically, but you can read them in any order you want. You can find them by using the calendar on the right, or look at the list of Recent Posts that’s at the bottom of each page. A good place to start would be "Why This Site is Here ", and then poke around on your own.

A post is meant to be a conversation starter … readers can read/add comments as they see fit by using the link that is at the bottom of each post.

There are also some reasonably static pages that exist as a lasting references to the readers. This page is an example. Others are for the History of Cedarlands , and the page giving instructions on how to post comments. Links for these are found under the main picture at the top of each page.

Making Comments…

I encourage you to chip in with your thoughts and reactions.

  • Adding a quick note at the bottom of the survey questions is pretty easy, and I don’t expect anyone will have a problem with that. If that’s not the case, please let me know.
  • In order to add a comment to any of the postings I put up here, you’ll need to register. It’s not a big deal, and I’ve provided some quick instructions with the Stumped link you see just under the main picture on this and other pages.

In either case, I believe that it’s perfectly fine to be impassioned, but at all times we should keep the language safe for scouts.

Disclaimer…

My efforts with these pages are entirely of my own doing. I bought the domain name, and am paying for the hosting with my own funds. The opinions I express are mine. I’ve been associated with the cubs and scouts of Pack and Troop 14 respectively for nearly 15 years now, serving in many roles. Even so, nobody should assume that my position on this topic is reflective of the other leaders or scouts I work with. If anybody wants to get upset about my position, take it up with me… don’t take it out on the troop.

With that being said, Troop 14 has a long history with Cedarlands, dating way back to when Smokey Elmer used to take the Troop here long ago. If you use Google to search for images of Cedarlands , most of the ones you see will have come from our web site .
